当社のグループブランドであるヌーボマジコのロングセラー商品であるスーパーとったゲルがこの度リニューアルします。
この商品の初代モデルの発売の情報や記録は社内に残っておらず、私が入社した頃には既に販売されていた記憶があるので30年近いロングセラー商品ということになるでしょう。
発売当初はヘアスプレーのフレーキング除去用ゲルとして販売していたこのとったゲル、当時のスタイリング剤はスプレーやムース、ジェルといった固めるタイプのものが主流でした。その中でも手を汚さず手軽に使えてしかもしっかりとスタイルをキープすることができるスプレーは高い需要がありました。
その一方、ヘアスプレーは強いセット力があるが故に日常的に使用することで日々のシャンプーでスプレーの樹脂をスッキリと落としきれず、その落としきれない樹脂が蓄積されて白く粉を吹いたような状態になるフレーキングという現象を引き起こします。樹脂は蓄積されればされるほどシャンプーで落ちにくくなるのでこれはこれでユーザーさんにとっては問題です。そんな問題を解決するため開発されたのがスーパーとったゲルなのです。
当時のキャッチフレーズは “ 前髪に 白く出た粉 とったゲル “ 時代を感じさせるキャッチフレーズですね〜(笑)
日常的にヘアスプレーを使用するヘビーユーザーさんの中でも夜の街で働くホステスさん達の需要が多かったように思います。
ヘアスタイルのトレンドの変化に伴いスタイリング剤のトレンドも変化しました。スプレーの次はワックスです。このワックスもセット力の強いものはシャンプーで落としきれず、シャンプー後に髪を乾かしても髪がネットリとワックスが残った状態となり翌日その髪にまたワックスを使用するということを繰り返してますますワックスが蓄積していくという悪循環に、フレーキングこそ起こさないものの髪がスッキリしないというお悩みが発生
ワックスの次はオイルをはじめとしたアウトバストリートメントの類です。オイル成分と共にそれらに含まれるシリコンがやはりワックスと同じ悪循環を引き起こしましたね。
ヘアスプレーのフレーキング除去用として開発されたこの商品は配合成分の特性上、ワックスやシリコンにも有効で、結果としてその時代のスタイリング剤のトレンドに合わせて成分の変更やリニューアルを重ねてユーザーさんのお悩みに応えてきました。
今回配合成分のアップデートを行いクレンジング力をＵＰしたリニューアル品を12/17に発売します。

Super Totta Gel, a long-selling product of our group brand Nuovo Magico, will be renewed this time.
There is no information or record of the launch of the first model of this product in the company, and I remember it was already being sold when I joined the company, so it must be a long-selling product for almost 30 years.
The gel was originally marketed as a flaking-removing gel for hairspray. At that time, the mainstream styling products were sprays, mousses, and gels that hardened hair. Among these, sprays were in high demand because they were easy to use without getting hands dirty and yet could hold styles firmly in place.
On the other hand, because of the strong setting power of hairspray, daily use of the spray causes a phenomenon called “flaking,” in which the resin that cannot be completely removed by daily shampooing and accumulates, resulting in a white, powdery appearance. The more resin that accumulates, the harder it is to remove with shampoo, which is a problem for users. Super Totta Gel was developed to solve this problem.
The catchphrase at the time was, “Remove white powder in the bangs with Totta Gel.” It is a catchphrase that reminds us of the times.
Among heavy users of hairspray on a daily basis, hostesses working in the nightlife district seemed to be in high demand.
As hairstyling trends have changed, so have styling product trends. Next to sprays comes waxes. Wax with strong setting power cannot be removed by shampooing, and even after shampooing and drying, the hair is left with a sticky residue of wax. Although it does not cause flaking, it does not leave your hair feeling clean and fresh.
Next to waxes, there are oils and other types of out-bath treatments. The silicone contained in these products, along with the oil component, has caused the same vicious cycle as wax.
Developed to remove flaking from hairspray, this product is also effective for waxes and silicones due to the nature of its ingredients, and as a result, it has responded to users’ concerns through a series of ingredient changes and renewals in response to the styling agent trends of the era.
The renewed product with updated ingredients and improved cleansing power will be released on December 17.
